Uniting Place is host to the Hampton Park Community Garden.
The Community Garden has wonderful all-abilities access, with raised garden beds available, a hot house for use and all of the tools you will need to produce nutritious food.
Experienced gardeners as well as beginners find it a fantastic community of people. We gather to have BBQ’s together from time to time and you are most welcome to check it out every Thursday between 10am – 2pm. Alternatively you can come for a tour of the garden by calling Diane Leak on 9799 0572 or the office on 9799 7994.
Get involved - Come along and see what can be done in our community. This is a great place to learn about organic gardening or share your knowledge with others. Come along to one of the regular working days to see what is happening in your community garden.
Maybe your family, or you and neighbour would like to join forces and grow food together for your table.
Friendly people - All abilities access - Great facilities
So what do I do if I want a plot?
The standard plot size is 5 sq metres. For these plots there is a small six monthly fee of $20 or $12 (concession). After an orientation to the community garden you can purchase a key for $5 which gives you access anytime. There are tools onsite for your usage or you can bring in your own.
There will be workshops and people to help give advice in how to get the best results with your fruit and vegies.
